Below is the current master
list of various categories of wheelchair users, who have achieved the
highest score known to date in bowling with an IKAN ("I can") Bowler® in each respective
category. I've heard a surprising number of able-bodied people say, "I
can't break 100 bowling" -- and ALL of the physically challenged
people below say, "I KAN!" :-) *

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone above! :-)

records! :-)

*These are single-game high scores bowled by wheelchair users in each
category using an IKAN Bowler® in dynamicfashion -- i.e.
users setup, then drive forward and turn left / right as needed to aim, and then stop / release; the ball is released from the
momentum of the stopping wheelchair (by inertia and gravity) -- these scores were not attained
using an IKAN Bowler® as a stationary ramp (although we hear it performs
excellently as a stationary ramp:). All record scoresheets must have
two signatures (at least one from a bowling center official) verifying
the game was legitimately bowled in dynamicfashion as
just described,
and the scoresheet must be either scanned and emailed to MGT, or a copy
physically mailed to MGT (my email address is above, or click
HERE for additional contact information).
Here is a July 2015 video of dynamic-style bowling with an IKAN Bowler®:
And here is
our original demo video:
The reason that scores achieved using an IKAN Bowler® in dynamic fashion
can be considered legitimate World Records is because the IKAN Bowler®
is the only wheelchair bowling device that is sanctioned for league or
tournament play -- any league or tournament anywhere in the U.S. --
bowling with and/or against able-bodied bowlers or fellow IKAN Users -- by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC).
To our knowledge, no wheelchair bowling device has been approved for
league or tournament play by sanctioning bodies outside the U.S. (we
don't believe any International sanctioning bodies have considered the
IKAN Bowler® yet). But the IKAN Bowler® is available for purchase
outside the U.S. (please visit the business website link below with my
signature).
We believe that bowling
sanctioning bodies outside the U.S. will approve the IKAN Bowler® for
league and tournament play, once they consider it. They should
agree with the USBC that dynamic bowling with an
IKAN Bowler® is essentially equivalent to what able-bodied bowlers
perform (i.e. setup, then physically approach and release the ball as
the bowler stops short of the foul line) and they will sanction it also.
For any
International (dynamic) IKAN Users out there (we
have sold quite
a few in Europe:) your witnessed and verified scoresheets can be recognized
here (see the paragraph above with the red asterisk) even though your sanctioning bodies have yet to approve the IKAN
Bowler®. No worries.
